Trailer for the game
Gameplay highlights of the game
This is "The Misadventures of Giga and the Temple of Tanoka", a third-person adventure game designed for an audience of 7 years and up. You play as Giga, a clumsy adventurer who you help traverse a world full of obstacles, booby traps and undiscovered territory. A long the way you will discover mystical masks which will unlock new skills and abilities for your character to use to help them along their journey.
This game was made as a part of a final year student group project for a Computer Games Design course. As part of the Gigaleap team (6 people), I contributed to the UI design, Concept art, 3D art and level design of the game. The images provided show each of the levels of the game that utilises content I created for the project.
In terms of 3D assets, I worked in the following areas:
- Rocks, boulders, cliff areas, stalactites etc.
- Foliage such as ferns, cave plants and trees
- Custom Shaderforge-based water shader (one opaque and one transparent)
- Stone carved heads
- Rotating bronze aztec door
- Level exit door
- Temple stones and pillar variant
Isolated versions of some of these assets have been included in this project as examples.
For level design, I collaborated on designing the first area of level 1, helped make adjustments to part 2 and exclusively designed level 2 and main menu scene. Each area was iterated on based on team feedback and comments from the user testing.
Concept art and initial sketches have been uploaded in a separate post which can found here: (Coming soon!)
UI design has been included in a separate post which can be found here: (Coming soon!)
